Release Date:

With over 13,000 members in 14 countries spread across 5 continents, TiE is the world’s
largest non-profit organization that is singularly focused on fostering entrepreneurship and wealth-creation.

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) organization consists of more than 2,500 charter members and includes iconic individuals from both the business and social worlds, such Narayana Murthy, Kanwal Rekhi, Nandan Nilekani, Hussain Dawood, Desh Deshpande, Arun Sarin, Anand Mahindra, Aditya Mittal, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Rahul
Nanda, Sanjiv Ahuja, Shiv Nadar, Syed Babar Ali, Victor Menezes, Vindi Banga, and Vinod Khosla, who work relentlessly across its ecosystem of 57 chapters to further its cause.

“There are a number of organizations catering to entrepreneurial pursuits. However, TiE is unique in offering both structured enablement and business networking, along with hands-on mentoring and coaching to its community of young and aspiring entrepreneurs”, states Nish Kotecha, Chairman, TiE UK and Member of the Board of Trustees, TiE Global.

Our country needs entrepreneurs; TiE UK was established 11 years ago and it has grown to more than 100 charter members and 800 members. Veterans like Apurv Bagri, Tom Singh, Rashmi Chandaria, Vikrant Bhargava, and others are serial entrepreneurs and trendsetters. They all sit on the Management Board of TiE UK. Over the past three years, TiE UK has mentored over 200 entrepreneurs at different stages of development across sectors.

With the creation of a northern chapter in Manchester under the leadership of Sunil Mohindra, President, TiE North, the organization has set itself ambitious goals; it aspires to reach out to the communities in northern UK and constructively contribute towards bridging the perceived North-South divide. “If we have a bias then it is towards developing effective entrepreneurs; we are agnostic to their geographic locations,” says Dr. Sanjeev Ahuja, President, TiE UK.

“Through instructional, experiential, and lifecycle guidance, we provide vital support to entrepreneurs throughout their journey,” adds Sanjeev. “Creating a flourishing community is directly linked to the creation and preservation of value through our range of programs, networking opportunities, and social events, which attract leading sponsors and partners” he says. “The opportunities we offer to co-brand, access our influential community, and develop business allow us to collaborate towards shared goals. TiE perpetually rejuvenates itself through the virtuous circle created amongst our charter members, members, sponsors, and partners,” Sanjeev emphasizes.

TiE UK thrives on the commitment and continues to build on the broad base of support that it enjoys across its community. The charter members serve as effective role models to the hundreds of members and support a compendium of instructive activities. Whilst they all lead busy lives, it is their continued participation in implementing the mission of enabling the next generation of entrepreneurs, that makes TiE UK raise itself clear of other organizations to the next level.

On the occasion of this Awards and Gala Dinner, TiE UK aims to recognize and celebrate the successful and passionate engagement of its charter members, members, sponsors, the Board of Trustees, employees, volunteers and its other patrons.
